Create

Use this tool to create a component and its relevant parts.

Analyze

Use this tool to analyze the selected component.

Analysis Options

This menu allows you to specify whether or not to run a Detailed Analysis.

Note

Detailed Analysis is disabled by default. Once enabled, the setting applies to all components that are analyzed within the session. Detailed Analysis is required for deeper evaluation of analysis check results, including Display Forces.

Download

Use the Download options to generate a variety of output files. Output files can be produced for a WHOLE PROJECT , CUSTOM , or for a SINGLE COMPONENT.

Note

Available download options vary by account type. Additionally, not all download options are available from Shared Sets.

Whole Project

Whole Project download options apply to all components within the project and will use the corresponding quantities for each component.

Custom

Custom download options allow you to specify quantities for each component that you would like to generate download files.

Custom download quantities override the quantity specified on the component properties.

The Custom tab will be active and the list will be filtered just the current component by default. Click SHOW ALL for a list of other components within the project.

Single Component

Single Component download options apply to the current component.

Analysis and History

This button opens the Analysis and History Subpanel in the Left Sidebar. Learn how to run and view analysis here.

Analysis and History Subpanel

This subpanel can be used to view analyzed versions of a truss, revert changes, and view load cases and analysis results.

Notifications

This button opens the Notifications Subpanel in the Left Sidebar.

Truss Settings

This menu gives access to Load Settings, Materials Settings, and Analysis Settings. Learn more about changing these settings here.

Lock Options

This tool allows you to toggle Lock Loading, Lock Plating, and Lock Lumber.

• The icon allows you to unlock all options for the component design in a single click.

• The icon indicates all items are unlocked for the given lock option type.

• The icon indicates that some but not all items are locked for the given lock option type.

• The icon indicates all items are locked for the given lock option type.

Note

These Lock Options apply generally across the component design. It is also possible to Lock/Unlock individual plate pairs and members from the Scene.

Duplicate Truss

This tool will create an unanalyzed duplicate of the selected truss.

Edit Truss

This menu allows you to modify many elements of the selected component. The options vary for Feature Pattern vs. Profile Trusses.

Adjust Overhang	Change the length for the right and/or left overhang.		X
Adjust Heels	Define Heel Height and Heel Reinforcement type for the right and/or left overhang.		X
Drop Flat Top Chords	Drop any flat top chord section by defining a crossing slope and the Lay-in/Purlin Thickness.	X	X
Replace Lumber	Replace lumber using a multitude of parameters to fine tune lumber usage.	X	X
Convert to Settings	Revert the current design to its original geometry defined by the Truss Envelope (from Layout) or from the Shape Details (from Component Insertion).	X	X
Make Gable	Applies vertical gable studs with a Structural Gable option for Feature Pattern and Profile trusses.	X	X

Undo & Redo

These buttons allow you to undo and redo changes.

Tip

You can also use the Ctrl + Z - Undo and Ctrl + Y - Redo shortcuts.
