Paragon’s Preset Manager allows you to save and apply a preset of load settings to any component or project element, such as buildings, levels, and components.
To view and manage existing Preset Settings, access Manage Presets from the User Menu.
Within Manage Presets, a list of existing presets is displayed.
From the left, you are able to rename existing presets.
From here, we are also able to delete a selected preset.
On the right side, the Load Settings for the selected preset can be reviewed and modified as-needed.
If you do modify settings for an existing Preset, be sure to click Save to apply the changes.
You can create a new Preset from Project Settings.
To access Load Settings, you must select from the project hierarchy list on the left.
Load settings can be applied at any level of a project, including Project Defaults, Buildings, Levels, and individual components.
In this example, we’ll create a Preset that includes Sprinkler loading.
After enabling Sprinkler Installation Load to apply along the bottom chord, we can click Save to apply it based on the Project Hierarchy settings on the left, or we can Save as a Preset.
We’ll save these settings as a new Preset and type in the new Preset name.
Click Save.
To apply an existing preset to a Project, Buildings, Levels or Components, Click Apply Preset.
Select from available Presets which loads the settings.
Define the project hierarchy selections on the left for which to apply the current load settings, and click Save.
Next, we'll analyze all changed components using the newly applied Preset settings.
Once completed, We'll verify that sprinkler loading has been applied to the bottom chords by reviewing the load cases from the right sidebar.
Locate the load cases with the sprinkler loads and view the applied loads within the scene.
Finally, let's return to Manage Presets.
We now see that the newly created settings Preset is available from the Presets list.
We hope this overview of managing Preset settings helps you save time working on your next Paragon project.
