Keyboard Shortcuts

You can view the Hotkey Reference in the App by pressing Ctrl + / .

• Esc - Cancel, Reset View (Deselects all items and focuses on the component)

• Ctrl + Z - Undo

• Ctrl + Y - Redo

• Ctrl + . - Focus on the selected item

• Ctrl + 9 - Toggle reference lines

• Spacebar - Select the next truss in the list

• Ctrl + A - Upgrade and analyze

• Ctrl + Q - Quick insert

  • C : Component

  • M: Member

  • B: Bearing

  • P: Plate Pair

  • S: Splice

  • R: Reference Line

  • D: Dimension

  • A: Scab/Brace

  • G: Gusset

• Delete - Delete selected item

Multi-Select

Some elements in Paragon Design support multi-select. Use Ctrl+ Click and Dragto begin selection. Holding down Ctrl will display the Selection Window which allows you to modify what is selectable in the scene.

Delete Multiple Component Designs

You can multi-select by using Ctrl + Select in the Explorer Subpanel to select multiple designs and delete them.

Live Plating

When you click and drag a plate to reposition it, it will be analyzed for grip on each member it touches in real-time as you move it.
